What started out as a dream has become my new passion project.

For year a goal of mine had been to have my own magazine. Growing up in the 2000s magazines were a huge part of girl hood for me, flicking through brightly coloured pages finding amazing visuals, cool graphics, answering quizzes and playing mini games was like diving into my own little world.

Magazines are such an iconic part of culture, meaning I was able to grow up watching the likes of Ugly Betty and The Devil Wears Prada which only helped shape my desire to create a magazine. The fantasy only became stronger when I discovered one of my favourite artists through a Vogue cover, Kerry James Marshall, and that soon became another goal of mine. Get your work on a magazine cover. But it felt so far way, I still had a lot to learn and the exciting idea slowly settled in the back of my mind.

As that dream lay dormant I worked tirelessly over the years to refine my skills and taste as a portrait artist and a visual artist to a point where I believe I can achieve the goals I had neglected. I constantly push my boundaries challenging my self, so naturally when I started my new endeavour, of creating my own print club, I needed to figure out a way to make it that little bit harder for my self.

The dormant dream was re-ignited one random Wednesday afternoon, I had this idea to create a mini magazine, I was so excited that this time when the idea slipped back into my mind I felt that is was possible. Although I have had this impending cloud of self doubt over my head this past month I’ve simultaneously had this fire under my ass.
